Turkmenistan's New Polymer banknotes
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's acquisition of the legal status of permanent neutrality, the Central Bank of our country put into circulation modified polymer banknotes of 1, 5, and 10 manats, as well as a new polymer banknote of 200 manats, from December 1, the International Year of Peace and Confidence.








The main feature of polymer banknotes is their resistance to external influences such as dirt, wear, and damage. In addition, their security features have been enhanced, and their images confirming their authenticity have been visually improved. The colors and images of the 1, 5, and 10 manat banknotes have been preserved in their original form, and the symbol of the International Year of Peace and Confidence is depicted on them. The 200 manat banknote features the Arkadag building on the front, and the Arkadag city administration building on the back. The modified manats put into circulation and the new banknote feature their date of issue and a facsimile of the signature of the Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan on the front.
