New Commemorative banknote from Kazakhstan

The National Bank of Kazakhstan will issue a jubilee banknote of 1,000 tenge, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, from May 9, 2025. The circulation of the banknote is limited and will amount to 5 million copies. May 9 is a significant date for the entire world. Kazakhstan made a significant contribution to the Victory. About 1.2 million people were mobilized from the republic, approximately 20% of the total population at that time. Their compatriots heroically fought in the infantry, tank units, aviation and navy. In memory of the heroism and courage of our compatriots, the National Bank is issuing a jubilee banknote of the national currency.

About the design of the jubilee banknote

The color of the banknotes is brown-beige.

The front side depicts:

- The Glory Memorial , located in the park named after 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, is a tribute to the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland.

- Micro-optical security strip . When changing the banknote viewing angle: the strip becomes visible with a three-dimensional effect of depth, volume and radiance, as well as the effect of the movement of the eternal flame and flying cranes . The silhouettes of cranes represent goodness and hope, symbolize life.

The reverse side depicts:

- map of Kazakhstan with fragments of historical archival photographs. Images are provided by the RGU "Central State Archive of Film, Photo Documents and Sound Recordings" of the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan www.kfdz.kz .

- The Order of the Patriotic War as a symbol of courage, fortitude and bravery.

The jubilee banknote with a face value of 1,000 tenge is mandatory for acceptance at face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments, as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, exchange and change in all banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
